Paphos - provincial town by the sea.

with about 40.000 inhabitants - incl. surrounding villages - is certainly the most popular holiday region of Cyprusl. In 1974 Paphos got its own small airport. In November 2008 a very modern (again small) airport of an attractive architecture has been inaugurated.

Visitors, who look for wild romantic unspoilt landscapes, forintact nature and for a wonderful clear sea as for original Cypriot life style, will be in the right place here in Paphos and Hinterland.

As well Aphrodite, goddess of beauty and love, knew well why she has been born in that region of Cyprus next to Papfos .... in PETRA TOU ROMIOU she arose from the sea foam (aphros)...

POLIS - even more wild

The tiny town POLIS is located in the extreme northwest of the island next to Chrysochous Bay and the sea. The shores near to Polis are very quite in both directions, east- and westwards. They are partly lonely and abandoned. In no season the beaches here are overcrowded. And -
Yyo will realize, that life here appears even much more 'Cypriot' , more sweet.

"Siga siga" - slowly, slowly - you will hear those words her more often...

As a small holiday resort Polis offers a really pretty downtown with typical 'cafenions', tavernas and a handful Cypriot shops..

Polis has been able to preserve its traditional appearance.

Renovations and modernisations do not have that priority here.

You will reach Polis and its neighbored villages Prodromi, Neo Chorion, Argaka in about 40 to 45 minutes from Paphos airport.

The tiny fishing harbour LATCHI offers the best tavernas of Cyprus with excellent fish tavernas and selection of shops.
